Culinary pleasures

The Tenuta offers their own red and white wine (Montescudaio D.O.C.), olive oil and fresh eggs for sale.  Fresh bread and rolls can also be ordered daily.  The Tenuta di Casaglia has its own well water  of best quality, that does not go dry even if the summer is very hot.

The nearest shopping is 3 kilometres away but all surrounding villages have  small grocery stores.  Cecina (15 kilometres) has  larger supermarkets with a wider range of products.  They are open  Saturdays till 8:00 p.m. and  on Sundays.

The food in Tuscany fascinates primarily through its simplicity and the generous amounts of the outstanding native olive oil used.  The naturally freshly cooked dishes
can be found in many of the nearby restaurants.  The seasonal products include fresh fish, meat, poultry and of course salads and vegetables that are offered in a great variety.  Restaurants are available in every category with very fair prices. Ask us for a list of the favourites.
